sfilter creates a stepped filtered sequence, to create gating, sweeps or rhythmic modulation of filter cut-off. It uses a variable state filter, varying between 2 adjustable cut-off values according to a tempo-sync'd step sequencer. An LFO can also modulate the filter for extra movement

features
- tempo-sync step sequencer, with 2 to 32 steps over a sequence length of 2 to 32 beats
- resonant variable filter, LP, HP, BP and notch
- filter cut-off varies between upper and lower cut-off values, in either direction
- tempo sync LFO, with 6 waveforms and settings from 1/16 beat to 96 beats
- random swing for step sequencer
- wet/dry mix control
- midi CC and midi learn

Controls
Step Sequencer
beats - choose from 2 to 32, setting the length of the sequence
steps - from 2 to 32, choose how many steps in the sequence

cut-off - for each step, move the column to select the cut-off value
no column = lo cut-off value
full column = hi cut-off value

a horizontal line will show you the position in the sequence

filter
filter state - select from high pass, low pass, band pass and notch filter
lo and hi cut-off - use the knobs to select the upper and lower cut-off values
res - the resonance of the filter at the cut-off value selected

LFO
The LFO can be turned on, to modulate the filter cut-off
Choose the LFO waveform from sine, saw, square, triangle, ramp or random
Choose the tempo sync rate, from 1/16th beat (very fast buzzing) to 96 beats (slow sweeps)
The LFO depth is how much in kHz the cut-off is modulated. The offset is to adjust if the LFO modulates about, above or below the cut-off value

Other controls
swing - adds a random delay to the triggering of each step
mix - controls wet/dry mix, can be used to make the effect more sublte by introducing some dry signal
